ERG Recruitment is a 100% New Zealand owned and operated boutique Recruitment consultancy. John & Fiona Harland have been in the recruitment industry for over 24 years so with their breadth of life and work experience coupled with an absolute passion and curiosity for people it made sense to create their own boutique agency when the opportunity was presented in 2008.
Ethics play a crucial part in the DNA of ERG Recruitment. Not only is the business a corporate member of the RCSA, the peak body for the recruitment and staffing industry in New Zealand and Australia, but John Harland was awarded Fellow (LIFE) membership status in 2018 and Fiona is a Fellow. All ERG staff complete a code of professional conduct to remain actively engaged in upholding the integrity of the recruitment industry.
ERG Is also Staff Sure certified to ensure their operational process is maintained to the highest integrity.

Meet Apii Jack, General Manager for ERG
I have always loved meeting people, knowing who they are, where they are from, so my career step into recruitment was a natural progression for me. Of course some people would call it “nosey” but I’m seriously interested in who you are when I meet you!
Fast forward 20yrs and nothing has changed, which is why I still love my job because it’s all about connecting quality candidates with quality employers and effecting positive change to a business and an individual’s life.
Recruiting is not a job, it is a privilege.
Apii has over 10 years in the Recruitment industry and has worked across Key account Management, Business development and Staff management. Her style is consultative and one of real interest in the business that she works alongside while supplying quality and engaged staff.
Having managed teams of anywhere between 3 to 60 staff in her past work history, in different roles and industries, she always managed to get the best out of the staff by sticking to her core philosophies of respect, empowerment, empathy, an open listening ear and firm but fair supportive direction.
